New Projects
Our team assists you by identifying market risks and hedging strategies, optimising your approach to the funding and hedging markets, managing hedging and funder relationships, negotiating and documenting hedging terms, managing the transaction process and all aspects of market execution and post-close trade administration. We aim to work as an integral part of the deal team from the earliest stages of a transaction. Our areas of expertise include:
Refinancing & Restructuring
The value of unbiased, credible advice is particularly high where legacy hedge positions represent substantial cost or value to the incumbent parties and where objectives, even within the same asset class, may be divergent. Chatham can advise on strategy, negotiate on your behalf or remain “behind the scenes” and assist with other elements of the transaction as with a new project.
Transactions
We are able to act confidentially in support of bidders or vendors on single assets or portfolios. Our loan and derivatives Due Diligence Portal (DDP) enables vendors to organise cashflow, pricing and all documentary information for access by third parties, potentially shortening the due diligence timeframe and reducing bidders’ and their advisors’ costs.
Portfolio Management
Chatham Financial manages trade information for over 1000 clients around the globe. We have substantial expertise in both International Accounting Standards for derivatives and US and other GAAP, and our class-leading combined loan and derivative portfolio management suite enables direct client access to loans and their associated derivative transactions, including accounting valuations and the deposit of all associated documentation:
Policy and Strategy
Chatham’s capital markets transaction experience and independence can assist investors and public sector procurement authorities in developing wider policy and strategic approaches to markets exposures, hedging policies and opportunity selection and appraisal. Chatham Financial is acknowledged as a credible, independent voice in the OTC derivatives markets and has testified before the U.S. House Subcommittee on Derivatives End-User Issues. We are equally comfortable in undertaking either confidential or published assignments.
